State of the Buffer After the Cutover
Household buffers remain one equal domain in the national ADI. The old leading-weight component language has been retired.
The buffer story remains part of the ADI, but the measurement language changed. The family-v1 ADI treats Safety Net & Buffer as one equal domain rather than a fitted early-warning component.
That distinction matters. A low savings-rate reading is an input. A hardship-withdrawal series is additional household context. The composite is the average of domain scores after the committed inputs are ranked against their own histories.
The ADI reference page publishes any national band label with the engine reading. Its score is a mean of input percentiles.
