AI Workforce Displacement and Default Data
The AWI and ADI measure different systems. AWI keeps its own zone vocabulary; ADI uses the family-method national bands with the engine reading.
The American Worker Index and the American Distress Index answer different questions. AWI tracks AI workforce displacement pressure and keeps its own zone vocabulary. ADI tracks household financial distress under the family method and uses national band labels only beside the engine reading.
The earlier version of this page blurred that boundary by pairing AI pipeline language with retired ADI framing. This revision keeps the measurement split explicit. AWI remains upstream context outside the ADI composite.
The ADI reference page publishes the maintained national reading through canonical facts. The composite is a mean of input percentiles rather than a percentile rank of quarters.
Use AWI for workforce displacement data and ADI for household financial distress data.
