Net worth is everything the family owns minus everything it owes. The survey runs every three years, 1989 to 2025; each reading is dated to the last day of its survey year. The Fed publishes the medians in thousands of 2025 dollars, so the stored value is the published figure times one thousand. The next survey (2028) is expected in late 2029.",
